Longing for Lhasa

In the remote snowy plateau,
The benevolent Buddha guards this land.
The sacred Potala Palace stands at the top of the city,
Adorn the sacred mountains and rivers with Mani stones and colorful flags.
Looking at the mountains from afar, majestic and spectacular;
Counting ancient temples, the golden walls are magnificent;
Standing on the city tower, the sound of the bell is melodious;
Indulge in the fragrance, hide the rich aroma of tea.
Salute to the mysterious beauty of Lhasa
I don’t know what else is in the world
Purer and more sacred than here
The mountain peak you washed with snow
Whiter than a snow leopard
Your prayer flag is whiter than a candle
Your eyes are more holy than a sun
This is a sacred mountain, located directly below the Potala Palace
I saw snow capped mountains, prayer flags, holy lakes, and sunshine
I want to talk about the beauty of Lhasa
The sky is at its peak, and the Milky Way is bright and clear;
Gazing at the world, every flower and every blade of grass is a bodhi.
On this land of faith and hope in Lhasa,
People hold reverence and gratitude in their hearts,
Offering full love to this beautiful land.
