Dapeng Kanhai, poet, teacher, member of the “18 Poets in the Poetry War Between Cao Shui and Yi Sha”. He has published works in Poetry Magazine, Poetry Selection Magazine, and various newspapers and magazines. He has written a poetry collection called Rain and Dust.

《废河》
废河里突然水满了
废河已多年没见过洪水
老哥俩热烈地拥抱着
浑浊的泪水流出来
废河里突然水满了
河底的庄稼不认识洪水
等他们从颤栗中回过神来
才知道已经跑不掉了
桥上的农人是探监的老母
眼望着水牢中自己的孩子
一句话也没有讲
The abandoned river suddenly filled up with water
The abandoned river has not seen floods for many years
The two brothers warmly embraced each other
Muddy tears flowed out
The abandoned river suddenly filled up with water
The crops at the bottom of the river are unaware of floods
Wait for them to come back to their senses from the tremors
I just realized that I can’t run away anymore
The farmers on the bridge are the old mothers visiting the prison
